Notary Emanuel Trach also offers notary services at home or at the workplace by prior arrangement, especially where coming to the office is not possible (for example for elderly or ill clients).
Notary Services Provided by Emanuel Trach
Lawyer and notary Emanuel Trach provides all notarial services under the Notaries Law, 5736-1976 and its regulations, ensuring the reliability and validity of documents for use in Israel and abroad:
1. Notarial signature authentication
One of the most common services, required for many documents that need official confirmation that the signatory is who he claims to be and signed voluntarily and with full understanding.
- Authentication of signatures on affidavits and declarations (Form 8): required in legal proceedings, tenders, banking matters and official documents. The notary confirms that the declarant appeared before him, was properly identified and signed after understanding the declaration and being warned to tell the truth, since a false affidavit is a criminal offense.
- Authentication of signatures on other documents (Form 1): including contracts, loan agreements and bank documents. See also: notary signature authentication in Tel Aviv.
Authentication of a power of attorney for a mortgage
Authentication of the signature on a mortgage power of attorney is one of the most important services we provide. It is a mandatory part of obtaining a mortgage to buy a property or refinance a loan.
When buying property, the borrower signs mortgage documents with the lending bank. Banks often require that the signature on the irrevocable power of attorney, which allows the bank to act on the borrower’s behalf if the loan terms are not met (for example registering a caveat or lien, or realizing the property), be authenticated by a licensed notary.
Why notarial authentication is needed: it assures the bank and the Land Registry that:
- Positive identification: the borrower who appeared before the notary is indeed who he claims to be.
- Free will: the borrower signed the power of attorney voluntarily and without coercion.
- Full understanding: the borrower understood the document and the serious legal consequences of giving the bank an irrevocable power of attorney.

2. Notarial certification of translation (Form 7)
Required when an official document in a foreign language (for example a birth certificate, marriage certificate, school certificate or court judgment) must be submitted to foreign authorities, such as immigration offices, universities abroad, embassies or registration authorities.
- Professional service: the notary certifies that the translation is accurate and faithful to the original. The notary may translate the document himself (if fluent in both languages) or certify the translator’s declaration (Form 9).
- Languages: the office provides translation certifications in several languages, according to the notary’s knowledge.
3. Certified true copy (Form 6)
Required when a copy of an official document (such as a passport, ID card, diploma or driving licence) must be presented to authorities in Israel or abroad and the original cannot be deposited. The notary certifies that the copy is identical to the original presented to him, after checking that the original is in order.
4. Certification of a prenuptial agreement (Form 12)
Before marriage only. Under the Spouses (Property Relations) Law, a financial agreement made before marriage may be certified by a notary, who confirms that both partners understood its meaning and consequences and signed voluntarily. This gives the agreement full binding legal force.
5. Will made before a notary (Form 13)
A will made before a notary (a “will before an authority” under Section 22 of the Succession Law) is considered a strong will that is harder to challenge than a handwritten or witnessed will, because the notary verifies the testator’s identity, mental capacity and full understanding of the will. See also our guide to notarial wills.
6. Additional notarial documents
- Notarial consent for minors travelling abroad: when children travel abroad with only one parent or with a third person (such as a grandparent or family friend), many countries, airlines and border authorities require a notarial consent signed by the non-travelling parent or parents. The notary prepares and certifies a formal consent declaration in Hebrew and/or English (or another required language), in line with the destination country’s requirements.
- Life certificate: a notarial certificate confirming that a person is alive, often required for pensions or allowances from abroad.
- Apostille and consular certification: after notarial certification, an apostille (under the Hague Convention) or consular certification may be required. The office guides clients through obtaining these certifications.

Choosing an experienced notary matters, since an error in a notarial certificate can have far-reaching legal and financial consequences. Notary Emanuel Trach is committed to three principles:

- Fast response: high availability, including short-notice appointments.
- Convenience: service at our office at 94 Yigal Alon Street or at the client’s home or business, as needed.
C. Types of notarial certificates
Examples of certificates a notary is authorized to issue, according to the examples of notarial certificates on Gov.il:
| Type of certificate | Short description | Form (Second Schedule to the Regulations) |
|---|---|---|
| Signature authentication | Confirms that a person signed a document before the notary | Form 1, Form 2 (on behalf of a corporation) |
| Certification of translation | Confirms that a translation is faithful to the original | Form 7 |
| Certified copy | Confirms that a copy is identical to the original | Form 6 |
| Affidavit / declaration | Confirms receipt of an affidavit after a lawful warning | Form 8 |

| Prenuptial agreement | Certifies an agreement made before marriage, after its content was understood | Form 12 |
